31/7/78: lettres patentes issued.
15/5/79: Parlement began commodo & incommode inquiry.
from 1780 (or earlier) Vallet was L. Alban's assistant director.
11/7/80: Parlement registered lettres patentes.
7/9/80: brevet from Comte d'Artois allowing them to call the works the Manufacture de Monseigneur Comte d'Artois pour les acides et sels mineraux.
30/4/84: purchased adjacent land from Cadet de Vaux for expansion. for 16,000 livres.
5/3/87: When Bourboulon's papers were inventoried after his flight to England they contained 990 documents concerning the Javel works.
ca may 1785: Cadet de Vaux proposed to the Controleur-General that he carry out experiments on his method of fire-proofing wood for building (soaking it in eaux vitrioliques et alumineuses) at Javel.
